Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your use of the ChequePoint iOS application. By downloading, accessing, or using ChequePoint, you agree to be bound by these terms. ChequePoint is licensed, not sold, to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which is incorporated herein by reference. In the event of any conflict between these terms and Apple's standard EULA, Apple's EULA shall govern.
Not financial advice
ChequePoint is an informational tool only. ChequePoint does not provide investment, financial, tax, legal, or accounting advice. All calculations, safe-to-spend amounts, spend curves, bill schedules, and net worth tallies are estimates based on user-provided or institution-synced data. Data may be delayed, incomplete, or subject to banking feed variances. You should always confirm critical figures directly with your financial institution before making financial decisions.
Subscriptions and billing
Certain features require an active ChequePoint Pro subscription. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple Account upon purchase confirmation.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off in your Apple Account Settings at least 24 hours prior to the conclusion of the current subscription period.
- Free trial: Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited upon purchase of a subscription.
- Cancellation & Refunds: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by opening iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. All billing and refund inquiries are handled directly by Apple according to App Store policies.
Your data and account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple Account and iCloud access, which ChequePoint relies upon for authentication and multi-device data syncing.
- Connecting bank accounts is optional and facilitated securely through Plaid subject to Plaid's terms of service. You authorize the app to display your account data.
- You may unlink accounts or delete all associated data at any time inside the app.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse ChequePoint, reverse engineer the binary except as permitted by law, attempt unauthorized access to our backend relay infrastructure, or use the application for any unlawful purpose.
Disclaimer of warranties & Limitation of liability
ChequePoint is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the service. Total liability is limited to the amount paid for the application during the preceding twelve months.
